5 things worth knowing

Why "my dog is okay right now" might be the most expensive belief in pet health.

01

Most joint supplements are cocktails. This one is a whole food.

The average joint supplement blends four to six synthetic ingredients and hopes they work together. Green Lipped Mussel doesn't need blending. It arrives with omega-3 fatty acids, glucosamine, chondroitin, glycosaminoglycans, and ETA (a rare anti-inflammatory omega-3) already in place. Nature did the formulating.

02

"Fine" doesn't mean protected.

Your dog may be running, jumping, and full of energy today. But joint cartilage wears down silently. It has no nerve endings. No warning signals. By the time your dog slows down on walks or hesitates before the stairs, the process is already well underway. The best time to support joints is while they still look fine.

03

Snap frozen is the reason this works.

Heat destroys the omega-3 fatty acids and bioactive compounds that make Green Lipped Mussel effective. Most mussel powders are heat-processed. Ours is snap frozen from freshly harvested mussels to preserve every omega-3, every antioxidant, and every anti-inflammatory compound. The extraction method isn't a detail. It's the whole point.

04

One ingredient means nothing to hide behind.

No proprietary blends. No filler ingredients listed in fine print. No inactive ingredients padding the label. When there is only one ingredient, you know exactly what your dog is getting, exactly how much, and exactly where it came from. Transparency isn't a marketing word here. It's a structural fact.

05

94% of reviewers gave it five stars. That's not normal.

Pet parents aren't generous with perfect ratings. They notice when their dog moves differently, gets up easier, or stops hesitating at the back door. A 94% five-star rate means this product is doing something that dog owners can actually see with their own eyes.

New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel

The ingredient

One ingredient. Because your dog trusts you to choose.

Green LIpped Mussels are sourced from the cold, pristine waters of New Zealand and cold extracted to preserve its full bioactive profile. This single ingredient naturally delivers what most joint supplements try to assemble from five or six synthetic sources.

Omega-3 fatty acids (including the rare ETA)

Glucosamine & chondroitin (naturally occurring)

Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs)

Antioxidants

Trace minerals (zinc, manganese, selenium)

All naturally present within the mussel. Not added. Not synthetic.

A note from Grazyna

I built this because I needed it to exist.

My chocolate Lab, Jimmy Jasper, taught me everything about what it means to show up for your dog. My grandfather was a veterinarian. My mother owned a health food store. Hip & Joint Health was our first product, and it's still our bestseller. One ingredient. Nothing hidden. Registered with Health Canada. That's the standard. Every product we've made since follows the same rule: if I wouldn't give it to my own dog, it doesn't get made.

Questions We Hear Most

Everything you'd ask before saying yes.

My dog seems fine right now. Why start a joint supplement?

That's the ideal time. Joint cartilage has no nerve endings, so degradation happens silently for years before your dog shows any outward signs. By the time you notice stiffness or hesitation, cartilage loss is already significant. Supporting joints while your dog still looks fine is easier, more effective, and less costly than trying to rebuild later.

What makes this different from glucosamine?

Most glucosamine supplements are synthetic isolates. Green Lipped Mussel is a whole food that naturally contains glucosamine, chondroitin, omega-3 fatty acids (including the rare ETA), glycosaminoglycans, and antioxidants. Instead of one isolated compound, your dog gets a full spectrum of joint-supporting nutrients the way nature packages them, together.

Why is there only one ingredient?

Because one ingredient is all it needs. Green Lipped Mussel is one of the most nutritionally complete whole-food joint supports available. Adding fillers or secondary ingredients would dilute what makes it effective. Every scoop is 100% active.

How do I use this?

It's a fine powder that sprinkles directly onto your dog's food. Most dogs don't even notice it. Whether your dog eats kibble, raw, or wet food, just sprinkle the recommended amount on top and mix in. Dosing is based on your dog's weight.

How long does it take to see results?

Many pet parents notice changes within a few weeks, though every dog is different. Consistent daily use is recommended for best results.

Is this safe for puppies?

We recommend starting after puppyhood, typically around one to two years of age. If you have a large or giant breed puppy, consult with your vet about the right time to begin joint support.

What if my dog has a shellfish allergy?

Green Lipped Mussel is a shellfish product. If your dog has a known shellfish allergy, this supplement is not appropriate. If you're unsure, check with your veterinarian before starting. You can look at our Hip & Joint Elite+ since it does NOT have shellfish.

What makes this different from other joint supplements?

Most joint supplements blend multiple synthetic ingredients. Hip & Joint Health is one whole-food ingredient, cold CO2 extracted to preserve its full bioactive profile. No fillers, no proprietary blends, no inactive ingredients.

Easy to use. Can be mixed directly into wet food, raw food, or kibble.
